Here are my top daily fantasy football picks for Wild Card weekend. I will be submitting several GPP lineups for DFS NFL this weekend and not too many cash game lineups. I hope to win big! I strongly believe that when creating your GPP lineups, you have to start with the QB/stack and then select the remaining 6-8 players. This is why I spend a good amount of time ranking my QBs for GPPs based on their upside (the most important factor) and being contrarian (the second most important factor). I ranked each player for cash games based on their floor projections (primary factor) and their value/price (secondary factor). Next to each player, I provided their FanDuel price as well as their opponents.

Ranked QB/Stacks for GPPs (tournaments)

  1. Ben Roethlisberger +Brown/Bryant/Wheaton/Miller
  2. Russell Wilson +Baldwin/Kearse/Lockett
  3. Aaron Rodgers +Jones/Cobb/R.Rodgers
  4. Kirk Cousins +DJax/Reed
  5. AJ McCarron +Green/Eifert/Sonu
  6. Brian Hoyer +Hoyer/Shorts
  7. Alex Smith +Maclin/Kelce

You can choose to pick these QBs without any their receivers, one of their receivers or even all the ones listed above. Stacking a QB with their favorite receivers will increase your upside and is a common strategy in GPPs. A creative stack is to select Tyler Lockett $6,200 along with the Seahawks D, banking on Lockett to score a return TD and also rack up some decent receiving stats.

Ranked QBs for Cash Games

  1. Russell Wilson $8,600 @Min
  2. Ben Roethlisberger $8,400 @Cin
  3. Kirk Cousins $8,000 vs. GB

For cash games, you want a trustworthy QB, so I won’t be putting in Aaron Rodgers in my lineup except for a GPP entry or two.

RBs for GPPs

  • Spencer Ware $5,400 @Hou (GPP, goal-line RB)
  • Adrian Peterson $8,400 vs. Sea
  • Bryce Brown $5,000
  • Eddie Lacy $6,000 @Was
  • James Starks $5,800 @Was

Ranked RBs for Cash Games

  1. Charcandrick West $6,400 @Hou
  2. Jeremy Hill $6,700 vs. Pit
  3. Christine Michael $6,500

Fitzgerald Toussaint at $5,700 and Alfred Morris at $5,500 are also two great RB options to consider in both cash and GPP contests.

WRs for GPPs

  • DeAndre Hopkins $8,800 vs. KC
  • A.J. Green $8,300 vs. Pit
  • Martavis Bryant $6,900 @Cin
  • Jermaine Kearse $6,000 @Min

Ranked WRs for Cash Games

  1. Antonio Brown $9,500 @Cin
  2. Doug Baldwin $7,300 @Min

DeSean Jackson at $7,000 and Jeremy Maclin at $7,200 are also really good WR options to consider in both types of contests.

TEs for GPPs

  • Tyler Eifert $6,400 vs. Pit
  • Richard Rodgers $5,200 @Was

Ranked TEs for Cash Games

  1. Jordan Reed $7,400 vs. GB
  2. Travis Kelce $6,200 @Hou
  3. Heath Miller $5,600 @Cin

The cheapest TE I would select is Kyle Rudolph at only $5,100 but I wouldn’t put him in more than one or two lineups this week, as I have very little faith in him and the Vikings passing offense.

Ranked Kickers

  1. Steven Hauschka $5,100 @Min (expensive)
  2. Chris Boswell $4,900 vs. Pit
  3. Dustin Hopkins $4,600 vs. GB (best value)
  4. Mike Nugent $4,800 vs. Pit
  5. Mason Crosby $4,500 @Was (cheap)

Defenses for GPPs

  • Chiefs $5,100 @Hou
  • Steelers $4,500 @Cin
  • Bengals $4,400 vs. Pit
  • Washington $4,300 vs. GB

Ranked Defenses for Cash Games

  1. Seahawks $5,100 @Min
  2. Texans $4,600 vs. KC

I would consider the Texans D as a great value defense and that pick would be appropriate for both cash games and GPPs.
