Are you ready for this bold fantasy football start ’em sit ’em Week 6 list? This week, I have something special for you. This list just might involve sitting a Top 5 draft pick, especially if you are in a PPR (points per receptions) league. So hold onto your seat, get your caramel popcorn ready and enjoy the ride.

Week 6 Start ’em

Sam Bradford, Phi QB

The Eagle has landed…

The last couple of weeks we have seen a more comfortable Sam Bradford in the Eagles’ offense, which has paid dividends by Bradford producing his best two fantasy games this season. I expect Bradford to continue that trend this weekend.

The first overall 2010 draft pick has looked good as of late; throwing 6 TDs to only 2 INTs in his last three games while racking up 270 yards twice in that span as well. He now gets to face a New York Giants defense that is dead last in the league in pass yards allowed (304 yds/gm) and have sacked the quarterback only seven times all season. The Giants are giving up 17 fantasy points/gm to quarterbacks, that’s 10th most in standard scoring formats. The fact that passing yards are such a consistent stat for QBs, much easier to predict than passing touchdowns, comes as no surprise as to why the Philly signal caller is a top DFS pick for cash games as well.

With the running game picking up steam, the Giants cannot drop everyone into coverage and will have to respect the run. This will in turn give Bradford time to read the defense and pick it apart. Sam Bradford is a Top 10 play at QB this week and should finish the game with 320 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Week 6 Sit ’em

Antonio Brown, Pit WR

We found Antonio Brown’s kryptonite, and it’s quarterback Michael Vick.

For 35 straight games you were guaranteed 5 receptions and 50 receiving yards if you owned AB. In the last two games that Vick has started for an injured Ben Roethlisberger; Brown has accumulated 8 receptions for 87 receiving yards and ZERO touchdowns, causing a lot of headaches for fantasy owners.

Normally, I would never tell you to sit Brown, but this week it’s hard for me to say start him as he will be shadowed by All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson. You couple that with the ineffectiveness Brown has shown with the left-handed quarterback, you have the makings of a big ol’ goose-egg. If you have better options like Eric Decker or Kamar Aiken, go ahead and start them, if not get ready for another brutal game.
