Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 12

Now that most trade deadlines are over and bye weeks in the rear view mirror, we have reached a point in the season where the margin for error is slim to none. You can’t afford to be complacent when it comes to waiver claims and cutting dead weight that can’t help you make the playoffs if you aren’t already a lock.

You can’t afford to lose any more games from here on out, so don’t take your eye off the ball now. Predicting which players could breakout if given the opportunity due to an injury to the starter is key to hitting on a potential league winner before the rest of the league knows what hit them. Those who put in the due diligence and legwork now will increase their chances of reaching the top of the summit.

Week 12 Start ’em

Rachaad White – Bucs RB

The rookie out of ASU has been primed to take over the starting role from old man Lenny for the past couple weeks, but he is poised to finally break out this week in Cleveland. White is a much more dynamic weapon compared to Fournette at this stage in his career, providing a spark that is much needed for this underachieving offense.

In Week 12 he faces a shoddy Browns run defense that has allowed the second-most points per game to running backs on the season. With Fournette still dealing with a sore hip, White should get the majority of carries in this plus matchup.

Rachaad White Week 12 Projections: 25 rushing attempts, 123 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 7 targets, 5 receptions, 62 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD

Week 12 Sit ’em

James Robinson – Jets RB

J-Rob has been underwhelming this so far in his brief stint on a dysfunctional Jets offense. As long as Zach Wilson is under center, which may not be for much longer, Robinson will be hard-pressed to find many scoring opportunities.

Even with a favorable matchup against the Bears in Week 12, the floor is far too low to gamble on J-Rob due to his lack of targets in the pass game and lack of explosion at this stage of his career. In what will likely be a defensive low-scoring affair, it is best to leave Robinson on your benches down the stretch.
