Who to Start for Week 11 of Fantasy Football

Start Matt Forte, Chi RB – Many fantasy football experts will tell you to sit him this week because he’s facing the San Francisco 49ers defense and nobody runs on them, well guess what… I say start him! This isn’t the same defense from last year where nobody could crack a 100 yards or score a rushing touchdown on them. Last year’s group allowed a league best 77 rushing yds/gm, three rushing touchdowns and forced ten fumbles. This year’s squad is allowing almost 20 yards more a game (95 rushing yds/gm) and already have allowed three rushing touchdowns.

Start Matt Forte Week 11 (2012 Fantasy Football)

Need more ammunition to start him, here you go… In the past four games runners like Ahmad Bradshaw, Marshawn Lynch, and Steven Jackson have gashed the Niners defense for a 100 yards and two of them found the end-zone. If quarterback Jay Cutler misses the game look for Forte to be more involved in the passing game as Jason Campbell may look to him as the check down receiver. Matt Forte Week 11 projections: 115 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown and 5 receptions for 54 yards.

Who to Sit for Week 11 of Fantasy Football

Sit Mike Wallace, Pit WR – You know what’s even worst than your fantasy wide receiver going down with an injury? It’s when his quarterback goes down with an injury and his replacement is horrible. That’s exactly what happened to Mike Wallace this week as Ben Roethlisberger will miss the game due to an assortment of injuries (shoulder and ribs) that he sustained last week. Big Ben missing the game will have a huge impact on Wallace’s performance.

If you were watching the game after Roethlisberger went down you noticed that this week’s replacement at quarterback, Byron Leftwich, looked horrendous and was overthrowing and underthrowing his receivers all day. Leftwich was only able to hook up with Wallace once after he entered the game, which doesn’t bode well for Wallace owners this week. Add in the fact that WR Antonio Brown will also miss this game, I’m pretty sure the Baltimore Ravens game plan will be to shut down Wallace at all cost, if that means double or even triple covering him. I don’t think a week is enough time for Leftwich and Wallace to prepare and be ready to take on the Ravens so make sure you take him out your line-up unless your happy with three fantasy points. Mike Wallace Week 11 projections: 3 receptions for 35 yards.
