2012 Fantasy Football Start Em Week 10
Start Vincent Jackson, TB WR – NFL players know that more than likely they will not end their career with the team they started and Vincent Jackson is one of those players who found out that would be the case with him this past offseason. Last year he was on the San Diego Chargers and was not able to negotiate a contract with the team that drafted him in the second round in 2005, so he left and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5 years, $55.55 million) and any player that switched teams in a contract dispute will tell you that they look forward to playing their former team and proving to them that it was a mistake letting them go. Guess who Vincent Jackson plays this weekend?
This will be his first game against his former team, the Chargers, so you can imagine how excited and eager he is to show them why they made a mistake by letting him go in free agency. So far this season Jackson is on pace to set career marks in receiving yards and touchdowns and in his last five games he has scored five touchdowns and is averaging 101 receiving yds/gm. It’s going to be hard for the Chargers to contain him this coming weekend as they have no cornerback who can cover Jackson one-on-one. The fact that the Chargers are are one of the worst pass defenses in the league, allowing 14 passing touchdowns so far this season, makes this and even sweeter matchup. Expect V-Jax to have his the best game of his career this week.

2012 Fantasy Football Sit Em Week 10
Sit DeSean Jackson, Phi WR – This guy is not the same player he was two years ago. Simply put, he has been Mr. Inconsistent. Look at his weekly fantasy point totals (standard scoring) this season; 8, 11, 4, 15, 5, 6, 5 and 16 pts; not exactly what you were looking for when you drafted Jackson with one of your middle round picks. Some of the problems can be attributed to the problems the Philadelphia Eagles are having as an organization but also blame is put on Jackson, a receiver who doesn’t care about running routes the right way or giving up on a play because the ball was not thrown his way. You would think that he would try to prove the critics wrong that he was deserving of a new contract, but he hasn’t proven a thing.
This week he’ll try to help his team beat the Dallas Cowboys who come into town looking to turn their own fortunes around. He will have a hard time against this defense who have been one of the stingiest against the pass all season allowing only seven receiving touchdowns. More than likely Jackson will have Brandon Carr covering him all game and Carr is one of the top corners in the league, who loves to shut down the opposition’s best receiver, and is pretty good at it. This year Jackson has only broken the century mark twice and has scored two paltry touchdowns.
