Don’t sleep on these fantasy baseball sleepers:

Fantasy Baseball Sleepers as of June 8, 2012 - Michael SaundersMichael Saunders, OF, SEA – The left-handed hitting Saunders is red hot right now with three or more hits, including two homeruns, in the last week. Saunders has good, long-term potential and could play himself onto fantasy rosters if he continues to hit like he has recently. He has good pop and can steal some bases for your fantasy team which is especially nice to have in category leagues.

Look for Saunders to continue to get better, and at age 25, he hasn’t even come close to reaching his ceiling. He’s a solid add in deep leagues for those owners in need of depth in the outfield.

Wilin Rosario, C, COL – The 23-year-old backstop has earned the starting spot in Colorado with Ramon Hernandez on the shelf with an injury. Rosario has shown his power with nine home runs in just over 110 at-bats so far this season. It’ very likely he will remain the starter the rest of the season even when Hernandez comes off the disabled list. The Rockies will want to see what he can do in an everyday role over a long period of time.

The rookie will struggle to hit for a high batting average and will continue too until he gets more acclimated to Big League pitching. He’s hitting right around .250 now and don’t expect him to hit over .275 for the year. With that being said, Rosario isn’t owned in very many fantasy leagues right now and could prove very useful to those owners in deep leagues.
