Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 2
What a crazy week 1, unfortunately did not go how I envisioned. Not the start we were looking for from Dotson (9 points) and did not expect Logan Thomas to lead the Commanders in targets with 8. Breece pretty much had the exact amount of touches that I had expected, however, what we learned is never doubt Breece, even off an ACL. Breece ended up ripping off an 83 yarder before running out of gas near the end zone.
Every year in week 1 there are always weird outliers and crazy things that happen. I think we should all remember to not play Monday Morning QB and overreact too much. With that said I take full responsibility for last week, simply have to be better and expect to be better this week and going forward.
Week 2 Start ’em
Nico Collins – Texans WR
This may not seem super obvious, and I hope it’s not, but Nico quietly had a very nice game for the Texans. While I do expect to see more Tank Dell in the slot in coming weeks it seemed very clear to me that Nico Collins is the clear X receiver and favorite target of Texans rookie QB, CJ Stroud. Collins put up a line of 6 catches 80 yards on a nice 11 targets in week 1 against the Ravens.
I don’t think Collins will have any problem tearing through a very mediocre at best Colts secondary. The WR1 for the Jaguars, Calvin Ridley, put up a line of 9-101-1 against this secondary. I certainly don’t think Collins is the talent of Calvin Ridley but I think Collins should see another double digit target game and make the most of his opportunities. Collins comes in at 6’4 215 and has the ability to be a threat in the red zone for Stroud. Not to mention that Collins had 158 air yards last week so there was certainly some meat left on the bone that I think he should capitalize on here.
Nico Collins Week 2 Projections: 12 targets, 7 receptions, 88 yards, 1 receiving TD

Week 2 Sit ’em
Drake London – Falcons WR
I went a little bit more on a limb with my start of the week in Nico Collins, this one may be a little more obvious to many of you, Drake London. Look I get it, you probably lost this week if you started Drake London and spent decent draft capital on him in the process. You want to be hopeful that your uber talented WR1 on the Falcons is going to break out but it is definitely not happening this week.. London had 0, yes you read that right, 0 targets this past week! And guess what?! Arthur Smith does not give one crap about your fantasy team or the fact that Pitts and London are hardly involved from a receiving standpoint.
Desmond Ridder only threw the ball 18 times last week, which is the absolute last thing you want to hear if you’re a Pitts or London owner. What’s another thing you don’t want to hear if you’re specifically a Drake London owner this week? Two words; Jaire Alexander. Alexander is simply one of the best in the business and one of the few lockdown corners this game has. He limited DJ Moore this past week to 25 yards on 2 catches and is who London will be shadowed by nearly all game this upcoming week. Truth be told, I probably wouldn’t look London’s way much either if I was Ridder this week. It’s going to be a heavy dose of Bijan Robinson and Tyler Algeier again this week. It would be a smart idea to trade London prior to this week while you can still salvage what is left of his value.
Drake London Week 2 Projections: 3 targets, 2 receptions 27 yards, 0 TD’s
