Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 17 (Championship Week)
If you are still reading this then congrats are in order. You have made it to the championship game! Enjoy this moment because you never know when you will be back here again. Tomorrow is not promised, especially in fantasy football. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses while you can.
With that said, there is not much more for me to say but to finish the job that you started on draft day.. Go with your gut instinct when it comes to setting your final lineup and don’t listen to too much advice from other people who aren’t in the fantasy title game. You got yourself here so you are the only one who can emerge victorious at the end of the day. Set your best lineup and live with the consequences. See you next year, champ!
Week 17 Start ’em
Brock Purdy – 49ers QB
Mr. Irrelevant aka BCB has taken the league by storm winning his first 3 starts including an epic battle against Tom Brady. Purdy will look to make history in Week 17 against the Raiders, which would make him just the 5th rookie QB ever to win his first 4 NFL starts. Now that the Raiders have decided to bench QB Derek Carr in favor of Jarrett Stidham, the wheels look like they have completely fallen off in Las Vegas after another disappointing season.
The 49ers on the other hand are still playing for the 2nd seed in the NFC which would give them 2 home games in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs if they can win out and the Vikings lose one of their remaining games. This sets the table for Shanahan to air it out with Purdy against one of the worst defenses in the NFL that is allowing the 8th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Fire up BCB and let him bring home the hardware in fantasy and IRL.
Brock Purdy Week 17 Projections: 223 passing yards, 2 passing TD’s, 4 rushing attempts, 5 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD

Week 17 Sit ’em
Michael Pittman – Colts WR
Pittman has had an up and down season after many experts predicted a breakout from the second-year wideout. Any potential for ending the year with a bang went up in flames last week when the Colts benched Matty Ryan in favor of Nick Foles who looked every bit of a QB who hasn’t played since winning a Super Bowl in 2018. Against a stingy Giants defense in Week 17, Pittman should best be left on benches for any managers that are left who made it to the finals despite his poor performance against the Chargers on MNF.
Michael Pittman Week 17 Projections: 4 targets, 2 receptions, 17 receiving yards, 0 TD’s
