Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 15 (Playoffs)

If you have made it this far, congrats are in order…YOU are in the fantasy playoffs! This season more than any in recent memory has been a tough year to play fantasy. Injuries have really taken a toll on several star players which can take a lot of fun out of the game. That being said, the ones who make it to the end are those who are able to adapt quickly and find the players who are on the verge of breaking out before others do.

Looking ahead and preparing for the worst is one of the best traits that a winning player can have. My advice to you after having one 9 fantasy championships in my career is that you should be confident in whatever moves you are making this week and don’t second guess yourself. Follow your gut instinct and live with the consequences. See you in the second round if you’re lucky.

Week 15 Start ’em

Jerick McKinnon – Chiefs RB

The Jet took off in Week 14 with his best game of the season, turning 13 touches into 112 yards and 2 TD’s through the air against the Broncos D. Even though he is sharing the backfield with Pacheco, they will be going up against the worst run defense in the NFL in the Houston Texans.

There should be enough opportunity to go around for both backs, but I predict that McKinnon will be the more dynamic player of the two. He is getting warmed up at just the right time for a Chiefs offense poised to reach another Super Bowl under the help of Patrick Mahomes who is having an MVP caliber season. Bet on the Jet and the Chiefs offense to put on another dominant performance against the lowly Texans.

Jerick McKinnon Week 15 Projections: 8 rushing attempts, 65 rushing yards, 10 targets, 8 receptions, 121 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD’s

Week 15 Sit ’em

Kenneth Walker – Seahawks RB

Walker sat out Week 14 with an ankle injury, but has been practicing in full this week in preparation to face division rival 49ers and their elite run defense led by Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner. Walker will have to bounce back quickly as the game will be on Thursday Night, which typically tends to be low scoring affairs.

If the Seahawks want to have a chance to beat the 49ers, they will have to do so through the air where Lockett and Metcalf have an advantage. Although Walker is young and very talented, this is not the week to pin your fantasy hopes on the rookie running back.

Kenneth Walker Week 15 Projections: 11 rushing attempts, 43 rushing yards, 1 target, 1 reception, 10 receiving yards, 1 fumble, 0 TD’s
