Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 9

BYEmageddon is finally upon us with 6 teams sitting on the sidelines this week putting fantasy managers to the ultimate test. In order to win this week your bench will need to be deep and you will have to get creative with your lineups. For a complete list of all the 2022 Bye Weeks click here.

That being said, hopefully you planned ahead so you would be prepared for the bye week blues like a championship manager should! They say the cream always rises to the top. If you are one of the top teams in your league then you should be able to get through these next couple weeks unscathed. See you in Week 10!

Week 9 Start ’em

Miles Sanders – Eagles RB

After telling fantasy managers not to draft him over the summer, Sanders has been a solid RB2 for the 7-0 Eagle this season. In Week 9 he gets an absolute smash spot against a Texans D that just got gashed by Derrick Henry last week for over 200 yards on the ground.

There may never be an easier matchup this season than what Sanders is about to get on the road against Houston. I expect another multi-TD performance similar to his exploits in Week 4 against the Jags. Fire up Sanders and watch your team fly like an Eagle into the win column!

Miles Sanders Week 9 Projections: 24 rushing attempts, 157 yards rushing, 2 rushing TD’s, 5 targets, 3 receptions,12 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD

Week 9 Sit ’em

Jonathan Taylor – Colts RB

As someone who drafted Taylor number one overall in a league and have played fantasy football for over a decade, I can confidently say that he is going down as the worst unanimous number one overall pick ever. As of today he has been held out of practice while nursing an ankle injury and it wouldn’t shock me if Deon Jackson filled in for him and had another RB1 performance like he did in Week 6.

If you are still somehow in contention in your league despite drafting JT then kudos to you. You are a better player than most! When you add in the fact that the Patriots D has only given up one rushing TD on the season, it only further solidifies the fact that Taylor will bust this week if he suits up for the Colts in Week 9.

Jonathan Taylor Week 9 Projections: 12 rushing attempts, 48 rushing yards, 1 target, 1 reception, 9 receiving yards, 0 TD’s
