Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 4

Since I am traveling this week and pressed for time I will keep this column short and sweet. My advice for you is to mix things up. If you aren’t where you thought you would be at this point in the season, then it’s time for you to try a new strategy and pivot.

If you know there is a player on someone’s bench that would help your team a lot like a handcuff to your starting RB, now is the time to be aggressive and get that player. This is no time to sit on your hands and watch things play out. Get out there and make a move before it’s too late!

Jamaal Williams – Lions RB

With the oft-injured D’Andre Swift likely to miss at least 1-2 weeks, Williams will now be thrust into the spotlight (pun intended) as the RB with the lion’s share of touches in Week 4. Williams is one of a handful of players with 4 TD’s this season, and is coming off a 20-carry game in Week 3 against the Vikings. He gets a cupcake matchup this week at home against a Seahawks defense that has been notoriously bad against the run. With a bigger workload, you can expect another multi-trip performance in the end zone.

Jamaal Williams Week 3 Projections: 26 rushing attempts, 105 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 4 receptions, 28 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD

Cam Akers - Sit em Week 3 (2022)

Week 4 Sit ’em

Cam Akers – Rams RB

After a slow start, Akers finally showed signs of life with a TD in Week 3 while getting the majority of the touches over Darrell Henderson. He still hasn’t shown the burst that led many fantasy owners to burn a 4th round pick on him in drafts. The sledding gets tougher in Week 4 as he faces a stout 49ers run defense that has been holding opposing RBs to under 63 rushing yards per game. It’s best to have a backup plan for Cam in your lineup if you want to win your matchup this week.

Cam Akers Week 4 Projections: 9 rushing attempts, 45 rushing yards, 2 receptions, 17 receiving yards, 0 TD’s
