Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 16

If you have made it this far, congratulations, you must have survived the worst week in fantasy football history. Week 15 was a disappointment in several ways, with many top players out on the C-19 list or injured coming into the week and others who couldn’t make it back from injury in time.

Instead of fireworks, we were let down with a bunch of epic duds, including the goat Tom Brady being shut out for the first time in his long and decorated career. To add insult to injury, the Bucs losing Fournette and Godwin will hurt even more in the weeks ahead. Will AB be back in time to save the day? Only time will tell.

And who could have predicted Travis Kelce exploding for a 40 point bomb after a string of disappointing performances to finish the regular season. That’s just the kind of week it was in the first week of this wild and wacky fantasy playoffs.

Week 16 brings us hope. If you had a first round bye you are extremely lucky. Now you will have to defeat a cagy Week 15 survivor in order to make it to the title game and fulfill your ultimate destiny. At this point my best advice is to go with your gut. Your instincts and decision-making ability is what got you here. Let the chips fall where they may and leave it all out on the fantasy field. See you in the next round…

Amon-Ra St. Brown – Lions WR

The Sun God torched the Cardinals in Week 15 in what was arguably the biggest upset of the regular season. The rookie gave Arizona all they could handle, making several dazzling catches on his way to a robust 8 catches on 11 targets for 90 yards and a TD.

St. Brown has established himself as the go to deep threat for QB Jared Goff, and has commanded the lion’s share of the targets with 35 over the past three weeks. With TJ Hockenson now on IR, expect the Sun God to shine bright for another week.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Week 16 Projections: 14 targets, 11 receptions, 109 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD’s

Sit em Week 16 - Chase Claypool

Week 16 Sit ’em

Chase Claypool – Steelers WR

Claypool has the physical tools to be an elite WR in today’s NFL. The only thing holding him back is his immature me first attitude that gets in his way. Ever since his premature celebration that made him the laughing stock of the sports media world in Week 14.

To make matters worse, Claypool only has 1 receiving TD on the season which is astonishing when you consider his role in a pass-heavy offense and his size advantage in the red zone. In Week 16, Claypool faces an underrated Chiefs defense that is sure to key in on the second year wideout. Expect another dud performance and fade anyone not named Diontae in this offense.

Chase Claypool Week 16 Projections: 4 targets, 2 receptions, 23 receiving yards, 1 fumble, 0 receiving TD’s
