Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 9
We are approaching the 4th quarter of the fantasy football season where the fight really begins for the remaining playoff spots. Every game matters from here on out so it is not the time to get complacent. In order to get the edge on your opponent this week, make sure you do your homework and assess what you will need to win now, as tomorrow is not promised.
If you have Zeke for example, you can safely cut bait on Tony Pollard as handcuffs are just taking up another bench spot which could be used on a player to plug in to help you win this week’s game. If your opponent has a questionable player in his lineup, make sure that his backup is not available in free agency and grab that player if it helps you block his potential replacement options if that injured player is out for the week.
Fantasy football is like chess, you must be at least 5 steps ahead of your opponent to win the game!
Week 9 Start ’em
JaMycal Hasty – 49ers RB
Hasty is the last running back standing in the 49ers backfield after Tevin Coleman re-injured his knee in his first game back, while out-touching Jerick McKinnon 12 to 7. In Week 9, Mini Marshawn gets a plus matchup against a Packers defense that just got shredded for 3 TD’s by Dalvin Cook.
With Nick Mullen taking over at QB for the 49ers, I expect them to gash the Packers on the ground rather than taking their chances through the air. The 49ers have historically had success running the ball against Green Bay and I predict that trend will continue on TNF.

Week 9 Sit ’em
Jonathan Taylor – Colts RB
Taylor appeared to have suffered an ankle injury against the Lions in Week 8, which opened the door for Jordan Wilkins and Nyhein Hines to take the lion’s share of touches for the Colts backfield. The backfield situation gets more murky this week as they face a Ravens defense that should be taking their aggression out on the Colts offense after being smacked in the mouth against the Steelers in Week 8. Until Taylor shows he is healthy and can get into the end zone again, fade him and the Colts backfield until further notice.
