Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 11 (2019)

Fantasy football can be a very unpredictable endeavor. One week you are the highest scoring team and the next week you can barely break 100 points. It’s not an exact science and a lot of being a successful fantasy player is using your innate feel and intuition, not to mention a healthy dose of luck.

In Week 10, I used exactly those factors to correctly predict that Jets WR Jamison Crowder would have his second consecutive performance with a touchdown and that Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett would follow up his monster game against the Buccaneers with a dud against the 49ers. Now I bring this up because I believe that listening to your gut instinct is one of the most important aspects of winning during the playoff push which most of you are about to embark on.

No matter what we as fantasy experts may say, only you can set your lineup every week and live with the consequences. If you have conviction on a certain player, don’t just look at their point projections and leave them on the sidelines because you don’t want to look bad. As the late Steve Jobs used to say, ‘Think different’, and you will achieve higher results!

Week 11 Start ’em

D.J. Moore – Panthers WR

Moore has been rookie QB Kyle Allen’s favorite target over the past 2 weeks and now has two straight 100-yard games with over 10 targets. In Week 11, he gets another plus matchup at home against a porous Falcons secondary that is allowing the 4th most fantasy points to wide receivers on the year. The only downside to Moore’s season is that he only has 1 touchdown against the Cardinals in Week 3, but I expect that to change with multiple trips to the end zone this week, capping his breakout performance of 2019.

D.J. Moore Week 11 Projections: 12 targets, 10 receptions, 115 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD’s

Week 11 Sit ’em

Christian Kirk – Cardinals WR

Like Lockett in Week 9, Kirk is coming off a breakout performance against a porous Bucs secondary in Week 10 that allowed him to go off for 6 catches, 138 yards and 3 TD’s. In Week 11, he faces the same elite 49ers defense that held him to his lowest output of the season where he mustered a line of just 2 receptions and 8 total yards. He will again have a similar fate as the Seahawks bottled up star WR, so keep him on your benches despite your instinct to chase the bountiful point totals of last week’s Charmin soft matchup.

Christian Kirk Week 11 Projections: 6 targets, 3 receptions, 23 receiving yards, 0 TD’s

  1. Mr. Mital, love the predictions. If you had 4 spots for a running back, who’d you start between these dudes:
    Alvin Kamara (starting Michael Thomas)
    Dalvin Cook
Josh Jacobs (sitting D. Waller behind T. Kelce & M. Andrews)
    Le’Veon Bell
    Devin Singletary
    Austin Eckler (starting Keenan Allen)
    Brian Hill

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And finally… is it wrong to want to sit Kamara?
