Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 5 (2019)

Things got a little wacky in Week 4, resulting in an unpredictable outcome which is the reason we all keep coming back to play fantasy football-we don’t truly know what will happen!

Dak Prescott, one of the top QB’s in the first 3 weeks of the season laid a poop emoji against the Saints. Wayne Gallman had not one, but two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) in his first start filling in for Saquon, and he did not disappoint those who broke the FAAB bank to get him last week.

In what was a terrible defensive matchup on paper, Browns RB Nick Chubb ran wild in Baltimore and put the Browns back on the map ahead of their MNF matchup against the 3-0 49ers. And last but not least, the Win God himself put on a show in L.A. after some players benched him due to injury concerns. If you were one of the unlucky few who benched Chris Godwin in Week 4, congratulations, you played yourself!

Now that the first quarter of the NFL season is over, if you are 0-3 or 1-2 it is time to get creative and make a last ditch effort to save your team. Study every other team in your league and find players who you can buy low on like George Kittle or DeAndre Hopkins that have potential to salvage your season. You have nothing to lose so do your research and make an effort to dig yourself out of this hole!

Week 5 Start ’em

DeShaun Watson – Texans QB

Watson has been very unpredictable this season and is coming off his worst performance of the year against a Panthers defense that limited him to only 160 yards passing and no TD’s through the air in Week 4.

Despite trading for Dolphins LT Jeremy Tunsil, Watson has been running for his life which is not what the Texans envisioned after he was sacked a league high 62 times last season. Luckily for him, he gets another home game against a Falcons defense that has struggled to put any pressure on opposing QB’s, which sets up Watson for a nice bounce back game in front of his home fans. This should also bode well for DeAndre Hopkins owners who have been in need of a big performance from Nuk.

DeShaun Watson Week 5 Projections: 343 passing yards, 2 passing TD’s, 45 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 1 INT

Week 5 Sit ’em

Juju Smith-Schuster – Steelers WR

Juju hasn’t been on beat this season mainly due to the fact that Big Ben is injured and rookie Mason Rudolph is now the starting QB for the Steelers. If you drafted Juju as your first or second pick, it has been a tough first 4 weeks and things are starting to look grim. Well sorry to say, things won’t be getting better in Week 5 against a Ravens defense that is coming off an embarrassing home loss to the Browns.

Baltimore was able to shut down Browns star wideout Odell Beckham Jr., limiting him to only 20 yards on 2 catches. I predict they will use the same defensive scheme against Juju, instead letting rookie wideout Diontae Johnson try to beat them a la Jarvis Landry in Week 4. It hurts me to say this but I predict “Juju will be poo poo for the rest of the year,” quote the Ravens-Never more!

Juju Smith-Schuster Week 5 Projections: 5 targets, 3 receptions, 34 receiving yards, 0 TD’s
