Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 5 (2018)

Now that the first couple weeks of the season are over, it is easy to start taking your foot off the pedal and become a part-time manager. A part-time manager is someone who isn’t reading the latest updates on their players and only checks their team from time to time rarely improving it through waivers or bold trades.

These are bad habits that will prevent you from winning in your league. The season is a marathon not a sprint, and their will be several obstacles in the way of you and your league’s trophy including freak injuries and untimely bye weeks. Winning players and more specifically champions never miss an opportunity to improve their team. They also read every alert and scour Twitter for any breaking news that can give them an edge on their opponents.

Well my friends and Couch Fam, don’t let this happen to you. You didn’t pay the league fee, sit through a long and boring snake draft and sacrifice hours of company time to be mediocre! So watch all the videos, read all the updates, check the Twitter accounts and kick your opponent’s @$# this week!

Week 5 Start ’em

Sony Michel – NE RB

With Rex Burkhead on IR, Michel took full advantage of the opportunity and showed flashes of what made him a first round pick out of Georgia. Michel rushed for 110 yards while getting the lion’s share of carries in the backfield with 25 attempts to James White’s 8. In order to excel in the Pat’s system, the rookie will have to learn to pass protect and catch passes at an elite level.

In Week 5 he will face a Colts defense that has been dealing with injuries to the front seven, but have been stifling against running backs. The Pats are coming off a dominating performance against the Miami Dolphins, and I predict the success on the ground to continue for the rookie with another breakout game.

Sony Michel Week 5 Projections: 29 rushing attempts, 137 yards rushing, 2 rushing TD’s, 2 receptions, 7 receiving yards

Week 5 Sit ’em

Phillip Lindsay – Den RB

Lindsay is coming off a solid game against a porous Kansas City defense that allowed him to score his second touchdown of the season. This week he faces a Jets defense on the road that is tough against the run. He has yet to rush for over 100 yards on the season and his carries have been inconsistent, which I predict will go below double digits for this game. If you are considering Lindsay for your FLEX spot it would be wise to look elsewhere.

Phillip Lindsay Week 5 Projections: 8 rushing attempts, 45 yards, 2 receptions, 12 yards, 0 TD’s
