Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 3 (2018)
Now that you know what kind of team you have, it’s time to make the necessary adjustments. If your team is powerhouse then just stay the course and don’t make any risky moves and get cute. Your team is 2-0 for a reason.
If you are 0-2 or 1-1 you likely can improve your team through waivers or trade. Look around your league and see where teams have imbalances that you can exploit. A lot of owners out there are eager to trade and change up the composition of their teams due to panic or boredom.
If you are not sure what to do, consult with the Couch Fam facebook group first and get a second opinion. Usually the community will help you make the best decision.
Week 3 Start ’em
Patrick Mahomes – KC QB
This is your last chance to jump aboard the Pat Mahomes hype train before it leaves the station for good. Through the first 2 weeks, Mahomes has placed himself atop the QB rankings ahead of names such as Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. He is this years version of DeShaun Watson and is on pace to become the first rookie quarterback to win the MVP award if he can avoid injury.
This week he gets an inexperienced 49ers defense in his first home game with several weapons at his disposal, most notably Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. I expected offensive fireworks from the get go with Mahomes leading the Chiefs to a decisive victory with his rocket arm and legs.
Patrick Mahomes Week 3 Projections: 346 yards passing, 5 passing TD’s, 5 rushing attempts, 45 rushing yards, 1 INT

Week 3 Sit ’em
Carlos Hyde – Cle RB
So far Hyde has been the unquestioned lead back for the Browns, fending off highly-touted rookie Nick Chubb and PPR standout Duke Johnson through two weeks. This week he faces a stingy Jets defense that has been stifling against the run, giving up the 4th fewest points to running backs on the season.
He has had a touchdown in each of the first 2 weeks but I predict that streak will end against the Jets in what is shaping up to be a shootout with rookie QB Sam Darnold looking to air it out.
Carlos Hyde Week 3 Projections: 15 rushing attempts, 52 yards rushing, 1 reception, 4 receiving yards, 0 TD’s, 1 fumble
