Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 1 (2018)

If this is the first time you’ve read a Start em Sit em list on this website I just want to say welcome to the movement! You are stumbling upon this brand at a time where it is thriving and ready to take off into new heights. A new book, a new fantasy football course, innovative live shows that no one else would even dream of trying. This is our new normal.

If you have been following us for years and are part of our ‘Couch Fam’ facebook group, sub to our channel, and watch all the live streams on YouTube, I want to say thank you for your support! You are part of why we have come this far and continue to do the provide you with the best fantasy football content on the Internet.

This is undoubtedly my favorite part of the year, when every fantasy owner has a perfect record and a ‘realistic’ chance of winning their league championship. Well I am here to tell you that the chances of you winning your league are less than 50%. However, I believe you can create your own luck and influence your own destiny, and it starts right here. Just to reiterate, if you are looking for the obvious starts like Le’Veon Bell or Aaron Rodgers, this isn’t the article for you. Welcome back everyone, Week 1 is here!

Week 1 Start ’em

Jarvis Landry – Cle WR

If you watched the first two episodes of Hard Knocks, you know that the Browns’ Jarvis Landry is primed for a huge season in front of the Dawg Pound. He has taken his leadership and confidence to new heights, delivering the most fiery speech that the HBO show ever seen.

Landry’s swagger and attitude is one word, CONTAGIOUS.With Josh Gordon questionable to play in Week 1 against the Steelers due to a hamstring injury, Landry should get the lion’s share of targets for a Browns team that may be down early at home. I predict Landry will be blessing the Pittsburgh secondary with a handful of receptions and two touchdowns.

Jarvis Landry Week 1 Projections: 12 targets, 6 receptions, 112 yards, 2 TD’s

Week 1 Sit ’em

Jimmy Garoppolo – SF QB

Spirits are down in The Bay as the Oakland Raiders saw defensive anchor Khalil Mack get traded while the 49ers $40 million dollar man Jerick McKinnon tore his ACL on the last play of practice and will miss the season altogether.

The news doesn’t get any better on the road as Jimmy G faces a stout Vikings defense that could seriously jeopardize his flawless record, as in ‘Neva Lost!’ Garoppolo will be without his backfield weapon McKinnon who was poised to be a safety valve in the passing game. In his place is the newly acquired Alfred Morris who rushed for over 1,600 yards in Kyle Shanahan’s offense during their days in Washington. I predict the sudden change in the offensive plan will be enough to put the first L in Garoppolo’s unprecedented winning streak.

Jimmy Garoppolo Week 1 Projections: 232 yards passing, 2 passing TD’s, 2 INT’s
