UFC fighter Yoel Romero

UFC 221 maybe missing some star power but Draftkings dropped a big GPP where 1st place takes $25k. I’ll have several entries in play there as I look to bounce back from a bad Brazil day. Looking over the fights this Saturday Vegas has 6 fights with a potential to finish. I see a possible 8 that could end in a finish. As I’ve said before in MMA DFS you want to target the fighters with the highest potential to finish especially high volume strikers & grapplers. Looking over this slate there are 3 fighters priced over 9k with all 3 of those fights expected to finish. The underdog options to choose from are very slim so we’ll have to find the fighters in the mid range to match the high priced fighters. So let’s get to it, here are my picks for UFC 221…

Romero +130 vs Rockhold -140
When I first seen the vegas lines for this fight and the salary on Romero I thought to myself. This is the perfect spot to go all in. However there is some risk, Romero will have to avoid the takedowns and ground and pound of Rockhold and try not to gas too early. When looking at these two I have to say I like Romero possibly KO Rockhold before I can say Rockhold can submit or even ground and pound Romero. There is some risk but Romero to me is the best dog play there is.
Romero via KO – Cash/GPP risk
Hedge Rockhold via Dec – GPP some risk

Fast forward almost 10 years and now I'm here to offer you advice and help you build your daily fantasy teams. My specialty being in MLB, where I play mostly cash games with a few GPPs. Looking to win that monster pay day. I also do MMA; a sport I've been following since my teenage years, watching the very first UFC on PPV. Of course let's not forget NFL, the sport that started it all for me in fantasy. So shoot me a tweet anytime. I'm always willing to help or just chat it up about the latest movie or episode of GOT.
