The fantasy expert industry is a tough game to be in. You put your credibility on the line every week and if you are wrong, everyone will make sure you know about it. I’ve admittedly been wrong on either the featured start or the featured sit the past couple weeks but I will continue to try my best to give you guys the best predictions that I can.

The reason Huseyin and I put our necks on the line is because we take this responsibility very seriously. This is all due to you guys. We are very humbled from the support you have given us over the years and especially this season. As many of you know, we just reached 15,000 YouTube subscribers and our Facebook group is growing by the day.

As we approach the midway point of the fantasy season, my advice to you all is to keep pushing forward and don’t take your eyes off the prize. No matter how difficult the obstacles in front of you are, you can still overcome them and turn your season into a success. Trust The Couch, and we will always give you guys our best effort. Now for the list…

Week 7 Start ’em

Alex Smith – KC QB

Smith fell back down to earth in Week 6 against a tough Steelers defense that limited him to under 300 yards passing and only one touchdown. He was pressured early and often and couldn’t get in sync with Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce.

This week he faces division rival Oakland Raiders who have struggled to generate pressure on the QB outside of the occasional Khalil Mack bull rush sack. I expect Smith to regain his MVP leading form this week with an elite performance through the air against the Raiders’ inexperienced secondary.

Alex Smith Week 7 Projection: 312 passing yards, 2 passing TD’s, 35 rushing yards, 0 INT’s

Week 7 Sit ’em

Russell Wilson – Sea QB

If you don’t have a better backup option, then by all means start Wilson. Just don’t be surprised if he has another one of his subpar games throwing the ball. Coming off a bye week, he faces an underrated Giants defense on the road who limited Trevor Siemian to only 1 TD with 2 INT’s. I expect the Giants front seven to put pressure on Wilson all game long which will result in at least a couple sacks. Look for the Seahawks offense to rely heavily on the run game which will limit Wilson’s upside this week.

Russell Wilson Week 7 Projection: 189 passing yards, 1 passing TD, 29 rushing yards, 1 INT
