I think we can all agree that Week 3 was one of the wackiest weeks in recent memory. For starters, Jordan Howard and DeMarco Murray put on huge performances despite being on the injury report and limited at practice all week.

The Raiders went into the nation’s capital and left their offense on the sidelines for much of the game while the Dolphins looked inept against the lowly Jets. This week should be a little easier to predict as there were fewer injuries and more data points to collect and analyze on each player and team. And now for the Week 4 list…

Week 4 Start ’em

Joe Mixon – Cin RB

I know we said to panic on the Bengals but hold on just a second… Mixon showed signs of life in Week 3 after new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor who doubled Mixon’s workload from 9 carries in Week 2 against the Texans to 18 carries against the Packers in Week 3.

The increased opportunities for the rookie running back led to an uptick in production. If Mixon can get 20 carries and punch in a TD, he will cement himself as a locked-in RB2 moving forward. Consider him a buy-low candidate. See if you can make a trade for him before he blows up this week.

Joe Mixon Week 4 Projection: 20 carries, 95 yards, 4 receptions, 1 TD

Week 4 Sit ’em

Marshawn Lynch – Oak RB

Beastmode is coming of a game he and the rest of the Raiders wish never happened. The offense could simply not get anything going on the road against the Redskins in Week 3, and Lynch was nowhere to be found. He was only able to muster a paltry 18 yards on 6 carries, a number which is sure to increase but cannot be counted on against a stout Denver defense playing in front of its home crowd.

I expect Carr to hand off to Lynch while mixing in young pass catching backs Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington to spell the aging 31-year old. If you are looking for Beastmode, its best you look elsewhere in Week 4.

Marshawn Lynch Week 4 Projection: 9 carries, 1 reception, 63 yards, 0 TD’s
