With Week 1 officially in the books, it’s safe to say that the fantasy landscape has changed dramatically in the blink of an eye. Owners across the nation who used the No. 1 overall pick on David Johnson are now scrambling to find a replacement (hint: there is none), while those who put their faith in Danny Woodhead and Allen Robinson were rewarded with an IR designation and a season-ending injury.

With that said, some intriguing first-year running backs will make their debut on the fantasy radar in Week 2, including Tarik Cohen and Kerwynn Williams. It will be interesting to see if they turn out to be all hype or have season long substance.

Aside from the running backs, this week I focus on two quarterbacks who are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. One who is looking for redemption in a soft matchup and the other who has something to prove against one of the league’s premier defenses. And now for the list…

Week 2 Start ’em

Carson Palmer – Ari QB

Yes, I know what you’re thinking. He is coming off one of the worst performances in Week 1, throwing 3 INTs and only 1 TD against a weak Lion’s defense. Also, he is 37 years old and just lost his bell cow running back David Johnson.

All signs point toward a steep decline for Palmer this season, but I am giving him one last chance (OK, maybe one more against SF in Week 4) to redeem himself and show that he can put up a big bounce-back game against an Indianapolis Colts defense that allowed 32 points against the L.A. Rams in Week 1. I expect him to throw early and often downfield to Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown. This is your last chance Carson, don’t let us down!

Week 2 Sit ’em

Dak Prescott – Dal QB

The young second-year gun slinger had a very pedestrian Week 1 performance against a stout Giants defense that held him to only 1 TD and just 24 rushing yards. He has yet to get on the same page as his once-elite wideout Dez Bryant, and will not have an easy time against Denver’s vaunted No Fly Zone secondary, even with the release of All-Pro safety T.J. Ward. I expect the Cowboys to pound the ball with Zeke and control the time of possession, limiting Prescott’s fantasy upside in Week 2.
