Fight Projections & DFS Fighter Picks

Fight projections for UFC The Ultimate Fighter Finale & UFC 213 event are revealed as well as DFS fighter picks and recommendations. We did great on last week’s picks, let’s see if we can do it again this Friday & Saturday! MMA fight projections and DFS picks are for premium members.

Let’s get to it!

Justin Gaethje throwing an uppercut

UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale – July 7

So one fighter I had picked; Bosse has been pulled and we still don’t have props on the finale fighters. Which will be Taylor vs Lima. & Kruasse vs Gallichio. I’ll have these picks out soon.

Justin Gaethje +145 vs Michael Johnson -165
Johnson welcomes newcomer and undefeated Gaethje who could surprise the UFC veteran but I don’t see it. Vegas thinks this fight will finish and I think that’s where some of the betting money is going as Gaehtje could possibly drop Johnson but I don’t see it. I think Johnson controls this fight and scores some takedowns on his way to majority decision. Johnson via dec – CASH or GPP some risk

Mark Diekiese -265 vs Drakkar Klose +225
Diakiese via decision in what should be a really high scoring fight. Look for Diakiese to score a lot of takedowns and dominate this one. SAFE in all formats

Jared Cannonier vs Nick Roerick
Orginally I was looking at Bosse here for the win but he dropped out of the fight and we get this newcomer Roerick taking his place. I watched some tape on him and he looks like a good fighter who likes to take the fight to the ground. If Cannonier can avoid the takedowns I think he catches Roerick here and hands him his first loss. Cannonier via KO – GPP some risk

Brad Tavarez +105 vs Elias Theodorou -125
I like Tavarez a lot & wish I could pick him to win here but he’s been dropped a couple of times and Theodorou could easily catch him and end this one. I don’t see it happening and can see this one going to decision where Theodorou will pull off the split. Theodourou by split decision. CASH or GPP some risk

Angela Hill -300 vs Ashley Yoder +250
This is my first upset pick as I don’t get the huge moneyline on Hill. I don’t see her being able to finish this fight and if it goes to decision it’s going be a lot closer than the line reflects. That being said I don’t think it goes to decision and can see Yoder pulling off a submission.
Yoder win via submission. Underdog pick GPP some risk

CB Dolloway -190 vs Ed Herman +165
Both of these guys are needing a win here. This one is not going to decision, one of these guys is going down. Play this one on both sides as both guys have KO power.
My pick is Dolloway via KO – GPP very risky

James Krausse -375 vs Tom Gallichio +335
This is going to be a very exciting fight to watch. Both these guys are going to bring it. If Krausse doesn’t finish the very tough Gallichio he’ll dominate the fight with significant strikes and takedowns en route to a majority decision win. Krausse via DEC – SAFE in all formats

Aspen Ladd -120 vs Jessica Eye +100
Man I got me a huge crush on “Evil” Eye. I don’t see Ladd able to finish Evil Eye who is really tough & will make the new comer work. This one will go to decision and I can see the line moving closer to Eye by friday. Eye win via decision / GPP some risk

Jordan Johnson -240 vs Marcell Fortuna +200
Johnson via decision CASH or GPP safe.

Grey Maynard +250 vs Teturo Ishihara -300
Ishihara via KO/TKO / SAFE in all formats

Jesse Taylor -170 vs Diego Lhima +150
Would hedge this fight as Lhima could also score enough points to provide good return on salary.
Taylor via dec / GPP some risk

Tecia Torres -360 vs Juliana Lima +300
Lima win via decison / I’ll be using Lima here to be able to move up to some of the higher priced fighters as I see this one going to decision. It could backfire on me with a low scoring fight but if Lima can pull a couple of takedowns she could provide a good return on salary. Overall a FADE for me.

Amanda Nunes fighting Valentina Shevchenko

UFC 213 – July 8

Amanda Nunes -110 vs Valentino Shevchenko -110
We love to target 5 round fights. This should be a really high scoring affair but I’m feeling an upset in the later rounds as I could see Nunez gassing out here. If she doesn’t I still think Shev can outwork her en route to a win via split decision.
Shevchenko win by dec. GPP some risk, this is a stackable fight you can hedge on either side.
