Every week, Mike Mital is responsible for telling fantasy football owners around the world who to sit and who to start. This is not your grandpa’s ordinary, boring start em sit em list–this is bold! You’ve been warned…

Week 16 Start em

Todd Gurley – LA RB

Gurley has been a disappointing bust this season, especially for all his owners who drafted him in the first round after a spectacular rookie campaign. He seems to have regressed this season significantly for a variety of reasons, and is coming off his worst game against a tough Seattle run defense that held him to just 38 yards.

This week he faces the worst run defense in the league in the 49ers, who are playing for a top 2 draft pick in next years draft. If you were somehow able to make it to the championship game with Gurley on your bench, now is the time to put him in your lineup and reward your faith by raising a trophy at the end of the season.

Week 16 Sit em

A.J. Green – Cin WR

Green returns this week after missing 5 games due to a hamstring injury in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills. He is motivated to return to the field due to the fact that he is only 36 yards short of six straight 1,000 yard seasons to start a career.

With the milestone looming, Green will face a physical Houston secondary that has allowed the third-fewest yards to wide receivers this year. If you are thinking of starting Green in the championship game, think twice and leave this risky wideout on your bench.
