Here is a recap of Week 16 from a fantasy football perspective. Let’s go over some key injuries and the top performers of Week 17.
Early Week 17 Injury Report
C.J. Anderson, Den RB
Anderson came alive in the second half of the Monday Night Football game, with an astonishing 39-yard run for a touchdown. However, down the stretch, Anderson lost a fumble and hurt his back on the play. Although he was right back in the next possession, you might want to monitor his level of participation in practice throughout the week as a precaution.
T.J. Yeldon, Jac RB
Yeldon is basically done for the season with his non-practice all last week, and his absence in the Jag’ losing effort to the New Orleans Saints. He is likely to miss Week 17 as well, and call it a season, as they are not making a playoff run this year.
Ladarius Green, SD TE
Ladarius is out for the season as well with his ankle that ended up needing surgery to repair. Although like The Jags, the Chargers aren’t going to make it to the playoffs this year either.
Matt Forte, Chi RB
Forte, who had a mere three carries going into halftime has been dealing with a back injury which was said to began in the second half of the game. The training staff said there was no need to go back in but he did anyways. That being said he should be fine to go next week in their last game of the season against the Bears.
