The curtain has closed on this act of the NFL season, and as usual there were some breakout players that came out of the blue. As we have done every time in these weekly recaps, we’ll go over the top performs, but first let’s reveal the most impactful injury for fantasy owners.
Early Week 8 Injury Report
Arian Foster, Hou RB
Foster is out again with another season ending injury, this time the location of his injury is the Achilles tendon which is torn. You will have to wait till next season to put the 29 year-old, fantasy stud in your starting line up again.
Jeremy Maclin, KC WR
Maclin who missed this last game with a concussion is set to return to the field for their next game on Sunday. He was a game-time decision that ended not being able to play. He should have a favorable matchup next week as the Chiefs take on the Lions.
Dion Lewis, NE RB
The Patriots are on a short rest week as they take on their division rivals, the Miami Dolphins, Thursday night. The abdomen injury forced Dion Lewis to be inactive for the Week 7 against the Jets, and he is still unsure about being able to play Week 8. He was a limited participant at practice on Mondayβs injury report from the Patriots.
Vincent Jackson, TB WR
Jackson left in the third quarter of the Washington game on Sunday with an apparent knee injury. With Louis Murphy going down with a torn ACL, the Bucs only have two healthy wide receivers. Keep an eye on Jackson this week.
Dez Bryant, Dal WR
Dez Bryant who broke his foot earlier in the season ended up traveling on his own with the team. As in paying his own way for everything just to get on the field and participate in warmups. He stated that, βIf I can go, Iβm going to go.β Fantasy owners could potentially see their first or second round pick on the field against the Seahawks next week.
