Here is an extensive start ’em sit ’em Week 2 list for fantasy football. I consider this our first, real start ’em sit ’em list of the year. Last week had a few surprises and most teams typically started their highest drafted players. Now, we have a better idea of what’s going on in the NFL (hardly, we need to see at least 4-5 more weeks of 2015 NFL action), we can start starting lowly-drafted or undrafted players, and sitting some of our high draft picks. And, of course, Cam Newton makes the sit ’em list once again. To stay on top of your game every week, make sure to subscribe to the VIP Waiver Wire List and get your weekly waivers sent directly to your inbox. These are the players you need to start and to bench for Week 2.

  1. Huseyin, love the posts, but could you help with one choice of mine? I see you’re big on James Jones, but not on Tavon Austin. Would that change if Return TDs were counted?

I have both of them, but one slot as Julio Jones and Emmanuel Sanders are my starters. I am leaning towards Austin because of horrible Redskins secondary PLUS chance of return Kicks/Punts (return TDs count in my league). Also, Jones against a tougher secondary with Seattle than what he faced last week in Chicago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m not on twitter.

    • Hi, thanks for the comment. Many leagues return TDs count as 6 fantasy points in many leagues, but they are very rare, even with a talent Tavon Austin. If he were to get one return TD every 6 games, that only averages out to 1 more fantasy point per game–not a big difference there, and definitely not a consistent stat we can count on. Seattle’s Legion of Boom isn’t exactly the same as it once was 2-3 years ago, especially with Kam Chancellor not playing. Also, the Packers are playing at home, and Seattle’s defense plays significantly better when they play in Seattle. I would definitely start James Jones over Tavon Austin.

  2. Hey, this is a great list but I’m in bit of a predicament…

I’m not sure whether to start Steve Smith or Terrance Williams. I know the Raiders D is banged up and overall just bad. Then there’s the Eagles D and they are not so great as well. Also, Williams in my opinion will get a lot of targets.

    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks
