Week 13 Start ’em
Eddie Lacy, GB RB
With a slow start to the fantasy season, many Eddie Lacy fantasy owners were wondering if they made the right decision using a first round pick on him. I bet now, that hasnβt even crossed your mind with the tear he has been on recently.
Lacy has been as consistent as they come since Week 7, scoring no less than 13 fantasy points (standard scoring) and scoring on average 18 fantasy points a game. Since his bye week (Week 9) he has been straight filthy, scoring five total touchdowns and putting up the most fantasy points at running back with 64. His opponent this week is the New England Patriots who have been fairly weak defending running backs the last five weeks. In that timeframe they have allowed three running backs (Chris Ivory, Matt Forte, Ronnie Hillman) to score 17 or more fantasy points and given up a combined 84 fantasy points to the position.
Consider that he is coming off back-to-back two touchdown performances, I see another productive day in the cards for this bruiser. He should end the day with 120 total yards and one touchdown firmly placing him as a Top 5 play for the week again.

Week 13 Sit ’em
Antonio Gates, SD TE
He has been better than Houdini with his disappearing act. In his last three games he has scored a combined six fantasy points (standard scoring).
Things have been so rough on Gates right now that the so-called bottom dwellers of the league (Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams) have held him to five receptions for 46 yards in his last two contests. Now he gets a road matchup against the Baltimore Ravens who have been stout against tight ends this year. The Ravens have only given up four receiving touchdowns all year to tight ends and have allowed three, thatβs right three, tight ends to score double digit fantasy points on them but all those have been on the road. In five home games, the Ravens defense have given up a combined 13 fantasy points and zero receiving touchdowns to tight ends.
With his quarterback playing awful at the moment, I see a long day for this future Hall-of-Famer. He will finish the game with 3 catches for 42 yards and no touchdowns and keep the disappearing act going for another week.
