Are you ready for another edition of our bold start ’em sit ’em list? If you’re asking yourself who do I start and who do I sit for Week 10, buckle your seat belts and read below. For this week, I’m going to tell you to start an ice-cold quarterback and to sit the hottest running back who’s been killing it the past two weeks.

Week 10 Start ‘em

Matt Ryan, Atl QB

Let me borrow a line from the southern rapper T.I., “We don’t want no mediocre.” Which is what this quarterback has been in his last five games, but this week should be different.

He has been average the last five weeks putting up 15 fantasy points twice (standard scoring), with his highest point total being 19 fantasy points, so what makes him a must-start this week? It’s a familiar opponent that he has torched in the past, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Week 3 of this season he put up 286 passing yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. In six career games at Raymond James Stadium he is averaging 253 yards a game, has thrown for 300+ yards twice, and has thrown multiple touchdowns in another three games as well. The Buccaneers have been shaky in the passing game this year; ranking 31st in passing yards and have allowed the second most passing touchdowns (18) to opposing quarterbacks.

I have a gut-feeling that we should see another top five performance from Ryan this week; I anticipate him throwing for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Plug him in your lineup and reap the rewards.

Week 10 Sit ‘em

Mark Ingram, NO RB

Sid are you okay? You are telling the masses to sit the hottest running back the last two weeks. That’s right folks, he shouldn’t be in your lineup this week.

I know sitting Ingram is a tough one especially with six teams on a bye this week, but it is the right move to make. Ingram will be squaring off against the defense of the San Francisco 49ers. Even with all the players that this defense is missing they rank as the fifth stingiest against the run, giving up only 85 yards a game on the ground and have allowed only five rushing touchdowns all year. Also, Ingram is dealing with a shoulder injury which may give Travaris Cadet a bigger role in the offense this week as both Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson have been ruled out of this game as well.

Drew Brees is a one-man wrecking crew at home and the Saints will make a concentrated effort to beat the 49ers through the air, and not with the run. So far those reasons I recommend you sitting Ingram this week if you have better options like Justin Forsett or Bobby Rainey.
