Week 5 Start ’em

Russell Wilson, Sea QB

Prior to his bye week, Wilson was a Top 10 fantasy quarterback. Now that he is back, he gets a plush matchup against a woeful Washington defense.

The Washington defense has been really bad the last two weeks, allowing Nick Foles and Eli Manning to throw for a combined 625 yards and seven touchdowns, that’s right, seven touchdowns. By comparison Wilson in his last two games has thrown for four touchdowns and 460 yards. Also, when Wilson is coming off a bye week, he is averaging 267 passing yards per game with 2.5 touchdowns thrown.

The writing is on the wall for Russell and he is a must-start in every format this week. When it’s all said and done he will be a Top 10 fantasy quarterback for the week. Start him with confidence.

Week 5 Sit ’em

Reggie Bush, Det RB

Don’t even think about it. He might not have Joique Bell this weekend to split carries with but that still doesn’t make him a must-start in my book. He has only broken the double-digit point total once all year and has a very tough matchup against a stout Buffalo Bills run defense. This season the Bills run defense has been better than advertised, they have held Matt Forte, Arian Foster, Lamar Miller, and Donald Brown to a combined 286 rushing yards and no rushing touchdowns. Matter of fact they are holding opposing teams’ running back groups to just 10 points per game.

Bush will have a hard time getting anything out of this defense and should end the game with 46 rushing yards and 40 receiving yards but no touchdowns. He will finish outside the top 20 at running back this week so get someone else in there.
