Those of you who are reading this are in the playoffs and every week can be a nail-bitter, so listen up as a few players listed below could be the difference in moving on the next round or the end of your season.

Waiver pickups for IDP Week 15

Audi Cole, Min MLB

Head coach Leslie Frazier is going to roll with Cole as the team’s starting middle linebacker the rest of the season. The former seventh-round pick in 2012 has amassed 35 total tackles (22 solos) and a sack over the past three weeks in place of Erin Henderson.

Henderson returned to action last week after missing the previous two contest and played only eight snaps at weakside backer. The veteran was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance on November 19th. That incident compounded with his mishaps in coverage this year has relegated him to fantasy irrelevant for the time being and owners should drop him.

Cole has been more than capable in the starting lineup and deserves to be added in a lot of fantasy formats. The 24-year-old has a good matchup against the Eagles’ running attack headlined by LeSean McCoy.

Kyle Wilbur, Dal DE/SLB

This is a sneaky play, but take a look at your league to see if you can start Wilbur in a defensive lineman (DL) or end (DE) spot. The two-year man out of Wake Forest has been the starting strong-side backer the past three games and has seemingly overtaken Justin Durant on the depth chart.

Wilbur racked up 10 combined tackles, nine of which were of the solo variety, in Monday night’s loss to the Bears. The Cowboys face the Packers this Sunday and that should spell a good amount of tackle opportunities for the linebacker corps. So let me reiterate, owners should only start Wilbur in a defensive line spot and not as a linebacker. There are other backers who are more capable like the aforementioned Cole and guys mentioned in previous articles.

T.J. McDonald, Stl SS

It is pretty safe to say that Drew Brees and the Saints will throw the ball downfield early and often this coming Sunday, so the Rams secondary will be busy. McDonald, son of former 49ers’ safety Tim, is a rookie out of Southern California University and returned from a fractured leg three games ago. The injury didn’t require surgery and he sat out six games.

Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu

The Rams thought highly enough of McDonald to spend a third-round pick on him this past April and he was the starter out of camp. The rookie is a hard-hitter, but just a decent tackler because he doesn’t always wrap up the ball carrier. Owners in deep leagues who lost Cardinals’ defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, may want to see if McDonald is available on the waivers.
