Here is the Week 6 edition of our weekly fantasy football start ’em sit ’em.

START: Cam Newton, Car QB

He definitely doesn’t look like the player that has finished as a top 5 scoring quarterback the past two years, frankly, Cam has looked terrible most of the time but all that is about to change this week. He is coming off his first 300-yard game of the season and is facing a Minnesota Vikings pass defense that has allowed three 300-yard passing games in four games this year with the low being 292 yards. The Vikings defense on average gives up 17 fantasy points to quarterbacks this year and I think that trend will continue this week. Look for Cam to have another outing like he did when he faced off against the New York Giants and scored 28 fantasy points (standard scoring).

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton

I expect Cam to throw for 320 yards and two touchdowns and rush for one touchdown, he definitely needs to be in your starting lineup this week.

SIT: Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR

Fitzgerald’s Week 1 explosion where he reeled in 8 catches for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns used to be a normal occurrence for this wide out. Since Week 1, Fitzgerald only has 16 catches for 208 yards and one touchdown. This week’s opponent, the San Francisco 49ers, have shut down this guy in recent memories, actually the last four games against them he only had one 100-yard game and is averaging 63 yds/gm. This year the 49ers defense has been especially unkind to opposing team’s wide receivers as they’ve only given up two passing touchdowns to wide outs all year.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald

I don’t see Fitz having a good game and with the probable return of Patrick Willis it only spells trouble for Larry and the Arizona Cardinals. I expect Fitzgerald to finish with 45 receiving yards and no touchdowns this week. He’s not even worth considering as a flex play this week. If you have any other options you may want to roll with them because it’s going to be a long day for Fitzgerald.
