The boldest start ’em it ’em list for Week 3 of fantasy football.

START: Bilal Powell, NYJ RB

I told myself before the season started that I would not recommend any New York Jets player to start, but now heading into Week 3, I’m changing course and telling you to start Bilal Powell. I like him for a couple of reasons, first being that he is going up against a soft Buffalo front seven that have allowed 283 rushing yards in two games. Second, he has outperformed Chris Ivory in rushing and receiving yards and is the only running back on the roster to have scored a rushing touchdown or by that matter any touchdown. I got a feeling that the Jets will use the run to set-up the pass against the Bills and I expect Powell to see his fair share of carriers. I expect strong RB2 numbers from him: 75 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and a touchdown.

SIT: Trent Richardson, Cle RB

I love the situation that he is in now. Not only does he get a better quarterback to play with but they also have wide receivers that you have to respect; say goodbye to those 8-man fronts. His future is bright with the Indianapolis Colts but this week I wouldn’t start him unless I have no other option. Why am I down on him? It’s because he will have a short week to learn their plays and terminology, and couple the fact that he will be playing a San Francisco defense that will rebound from last week’s debacle at Seattle. He will have better weeks ahead of him once he gets down the Colts’ system but for this week do not put Trent Richardson in your starting lineup. He’ll end up with around 55 rushing yards, 20 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
