It only took two weeks to see two top running backs go down with injuries.

For those who have Matt Forte (ankle), filling his spot became a task this week that many hoped they wouldn’t have to handle. Nobody ever wants to see their first or second round pick go down but grabbing Michael Bush as an insurance policy would have saved some Forte owners.

If you were a Forte owner unable to draft Bush and don’t have a viable back up, check your waiver-wire for St. Louis running back Daryl Richardson. Richardson ran 15 times for 83 yards last week in the Rams’ win over the Redskins and could be in the backfield once again with the injury to Steven Jackson (groin) who has not practiced all week. Pittsburgh’s Jonathan Dwyer is another option.

Jamaal Charles (knee) was a full participant for the second day in a row, allowing Charles owners the chance to exhale before Sunday morning. Charles will most likely make the start against New Orleans but monitor his status prior to kick-off.

John Skelton (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. Skelton’s limitations this week in practice have most likely awarded Kevin Kolb the start.

Jeremy Maclin (hip) sat out Wednesday, was limited Thursday and once again sat out on Friday. There has been no official word on his status for Sunday but leaving him in until kick-off could be a dangerous play with his game starting at 4:05 ET. With the lack of late-Sunday games, starting your next best receiver would be the smartest play unless you want to hold out hope and pick up Green Bay’s Randall Cobb or James Jones. After that there is really nobody else worth starting.

Both Julio Jones (thigh) and Roddy White (knee) will most likely be on the field Sunday. White’s knee injury is not major while Jones was limited in practice this week. Odds are Jones will be on the field and produce despite the thigh injury.

Calvin Johnson (foot) returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. Megatron won’t be missing any action this week. Emphasis being on ‘this week’…

Make sure to put Miles Austin (hamstring) into your lineup for Sunday’s game. Austin has practiced fully since Wednesday and should be able to get his 5-7 catches and a touchdown once again this season.
