Don’t be alarmed at this bold fantasy football start ’em sit ’em list for Week 2. Every week, Sid Says who to start and who to put on the bench. These bold lists of names turn skeptics into believers.

2012 Fantasy Football Start Em Week 2

2012 Fantasy Football Start Em Sit Em Week 2 - Start Eric DeckerEric Decker, WR, Broncos – Week 1 wasn’t exactly the coming out party we were expecting from him. During the preseason, Decker was quietly building a fantasy following, especially after his two-TD performance against the San Francisco 49ers. Then comes Week 1, and he puts up a disappointing 5 receptions for 54 yards. Decker’s performance had more to do with the Steelers putting an emphasis on shutting him down and letting the other wide outs try and beat them.

This week Decker will be going up against the Atlanta Falcons and should put up some great numbers. This game should be a shoot out with both teams throwing more than 40 times each and with that many passing attempts, expect Decker to see a fair share of receptions. The other factor helping Decker out is that the Falcons lost starting CB Brent Grimes for the season due to an Achilles tendon injury. I predict Decker will put up 7 receptions for 112 yards along with a touchdown.

2012 Fantasy Football Sit Em Week 2

DeMarco Murray, RB, Dallas – He was muy caliente against the defending Super Bowl champs, the New York Giants, in Week 1, rushing for 131 yards on 20 carriers and even caught a couple of passes out the backfield. So why sit him this week? It’s because he will be facing a top five run defense in the Seattle Seahawks. What makes it a difficult matchup is that Murray will be playing in Seattle, which any NFL player will tell you that it is one of the loudest and hardest places to play in the NFL.

Dallas will try to beat Seattle through the air and will not utilize Murray as much as they did in Week 1. The young Cowboys’ running back will have a hard time trying to run through this underrated front seven. Unless your happy with getting only 65 yards out of DeMarco Murray this week, bench him.
