Fantasy Football - IDP Week 12 - E.J. Henderson

E.J. Henderson, LB, Minnesota Vikings – The nine-year veteran is a good player on a bad defense. He played a great game against the Oakland Raiders last week with nine total tackles and one sack. Henderson has two good matchups in Week 12 an 13 playing against the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos. Expect him to be the leading tackler on the team with also a chance for blitz opportunities, which means potential sacks and forced fumbles.

Antrel Rolle, S, New York Giants – Playing against the pass-happy New Orleans Saints this Monday, should present a solid opportunity for Rolle and fellow safety Kenny Phillips, to record tackles. Don’t expect Rolle to have any interceptions, he has one this season, against Drew Brees who is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. The Giants secondary should be busy trying to cover receivers down field while the linebackers try to contain Darren Sproles catching passes out of the backfield. Rolle has been a consistent tackler this year and in years past, and will need to be if the Giants hope to contain the Saints in Week 12 and then the defending Super Bowl Champion, Green Bay Packers in Week 13.

Darian Stewart, S, St. Louis Rams – The second-year pro out of South Carolina has emerged as the starting strong safety for the Rams alongside veteran free safety Quintin Mikell. Stewart has been pretty consistent this season with 44 solo tackles, 10 assists, one sack and one interception through 10 games. His biggest game this season came in Week 8 against the Saints when he had seven total tackles (six solo) and one interception return for a touchdown. Stewart also had a great performance last week against the Seattle Seahawks with eight total tackles (all solos) and a sack as the Rams fell short in a division matchup. He’s worth a waiver wire pickup in deep leagues because he should continue to put up decent stats playing on a not so great defense that will allow big plays downfield.
