We will be posting one of these articles everyday of the week until opening day…

1. Albert Pujols – The best player in the game year after year. Should be the first pick in every draft with no exception. The only Triple Crown threat in the game has been consistent year after year is still in his prime and will have Matt Holliday batting next to him for the entire season. Expect the same monster numbers he puts up every year if you get the first pick in your draft. With the exception of steals, Pujols will be near or on top of every offense category.

2. Mark Teixeira – The most productive switch-hitter in baseball is in position to have another great year in the Bronx. The Yankees have the strongest lineup once again and Teixeira is the middle of it. Add the hitter-friendly right field of Yankee Stadium and you have Teixeira hitting around .300, 40 home runs and 120 RBIs.

3. Ryan Howard – The home run total will be right there with Albert Pujols and he might even have more RBIs. The only thing keeping Howard from being the best slugger in the game is his average. Howard is in the National League’s best offense and will continue to benefit from playing in Philly’s live yard. Howard should hit around .260 nearly 50 home runs and 140 RBIs.

4. Prince Fielder – One of the most intimidating hitters in the game, Fielder will hit close to .300 and can smash 50 home runs. Big Prince and Ryan Braun make up one of the best 1-2 punches in baseball but the rest of the Milwaukee lineup doesn’t quite stack up to the Phillies or Cardinals. A cornerstone for your fantasy team, he should be taken late in the first round and is a steal if you can get him in the second round.

5. Justin Morneau – A consistent .300 slugger who will hit close to 30 home runs and 120 RBIs, Morneau is a very dependable first basemen who can be stolen in the second or third round. Hitting next to NL MVP Joe Mauer and the underrated Michael Cuddyer, Morneau will get plenty of RBI opportunities and will score runs. The only question for 2010 is how the ball travels in new Target Field.
