Ankle injuries are multiplying in Detroit’s locker room as both Calvin Johnson and now Reggie Bush are listed as ‘questionable’ for Week 6. Matthew Stafford and the Lions’ offense could be without the top two playmakers and Joique Bell as he recovers from a concussion.

Megatron was the bigger fantasy tragedy last Sunday considering he only caught one pass for seven yards while reinjuring the bad ankle he had been nursing the past few weeks. It has been reported that head coach Jim Caldwell will strongly consider resting the star wideout this Sunday and possibly longer to give the injured ankle some extra time to heal.

Johnson scored twice in the first game of the year and hasn’t seen the end zone since. Considering he was a first or second round in pick, those of you who drafted him must feel ripped off like when you go through the drive through window and you get home only to realize they forget one of your items.

Bush only rushed for 13 yards on six carries before getting injured without returning. He also added two catches for 30 yards and his owners in PPR leagues will miss him most if the injury proves to be serious. Owners will have to wait and see with the ninth-year pro as his MRI should give an idea to the extent of the damage.

The bye week could not have come at a better time for New Orleans as Jimmy Graham will have additional time to recover from a sprained shoulder before suiting up to play the Lions in Week 7. The former Miami Hurricane got hurt in the first half of last week’s comeback win over Tampa Bay and only recorded a pair of grabs for 36 yards.

Speaking of the bye week, it cannot be soon enough for the New York Jets as they lost their fourth straight contest in a 31-0 beating by the San Diego Chargers to fall to 1-4. Head coach Rex Ryan’s bunch would be winless if they had not had the Oakland Raiders on their schedule the first game of the year.

Quarterback Geno Smith was so bad that Michael Vick played the second half and wasn’t much better. The two combined for 74 total passing yards while Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory only managed a collective 68 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Eric Decker was in street clothes on the sideline with a bum hamstring as the Jets’ offense is a fantasy mess worth avoiding.

There were other notable fantasy woes as Seattle’s Percy Harvin had three potential touchdowns called back via penalty. Obviously, his teammates didn’t want him to score as a hold on the offensive line, a false start and an unnecessary roughness that prevented him from having a career-best game. Ironically, all of Harvins’ owners who lost their matchup by less than a touchdown are suffering from a terrible migraine headache right now.

As if that was not painful enough, we leave you with more discouraging news as both Montee Ball (strained groin) and Rashad Jennings (sprained MCL) are listed as ‘doubtful’ and both players could miss the next couple games. Ball has not been overly effective and Jennings has only had one big game in 2014, but it doesn’t lessen the blow.
